Large-Scale Training for First Responders and Volunteers of the Emergency Response Teams Takes Place in Bila Tserkva, Kyiv Region
During the training, first responders of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine and emergency response teams of the Ukrainian Red Cross practised an algorithm for coordinated actions in case of emergencies.
Both first responders and volunteers understand that efficiency and professionalism in emergency response can mean saving someone’s life. Therefore, the interaction between the units is constantly refined to ensure full preparedness for various emergencies.
This time, they practised responding to a fire at an industrial site. The simulated injuries included traumatic limb amputations, loss of consciousness, and combustion product poisoning. Additionally, a triage centre and a field hospital were set up to provide all injured individuals with the necessary assistance.
