Clothing Banks are Operating in the Cherkasy Region on the Basis of Ukrainian Red Cross Local Branches
Every day, the Clothing Bank welcomes many visitors who find the things they need and take them for free. Most of the recipients of humanitarian aid are internally displaced people and those aged 65 and over.
Currently, the two Clothing Banks have expanded their range of services. From now on, thanks to the cooperation with our partner Epicentr K, all visitors who have chosen the necessary items can additionally receive a 700-800 gram package of laundry detergent. Proper care is essential for everything, including clothes. This collaboration with Epicentr K in Cherkasy presents us with new opportunities to assist people by providing means for the high-quality maintenance of their belongings.
This initiative has been implemented in two Clothing Banks of the Cherkasy regional branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross:
- Clothing Bank of the Ukrainian Red Cross in Cherkasy:
Address: Cherkasy, 55/1 Gagarina St., former shopping centre ‘Grand on Mytnytsia’, 1st floor.
- Clothing Bank of the Ukrainian Red Cross in Zolotonosha:
Address: Zolotonosha, 7 Sadovyi Passage.
Opening Hours: Monday to Friday from 10:00 to 17:00.
The network of clothing banks in the region operates under a unified system that adheres to common rules, work schedules, and approaches to assisting recipients. This initiative was implemented with the support of the BraVo programme, which focuses on branch and volunteer development within the Ukrainian Red Cross.
