More than 60 Social Assistants Support Lonely People in the Lviv Region

The Ukrainian Red Cross has been implementing the ‘Home-Based Care’ activity in the Lviv region for two years. During this time, they have provided care and support to lonely elderly individuals, people with disabilities, and those requiring assistance in daily life.

Social assistants help with household chores, such as cooking, shopping, delivering food and medicines, and addressing other household and social needs. Moreover, they offer emotional support, which is particularly crucial for individuals living alone.

Currently, over 60 social assistants in the Lviv region are taking care of nearly 290 lonely elderly individuals across 54 settlements in the region.

We stand by those in need!
