Meeting Held in Mykolaiv with Representatives of the All-Ukrainian Mental Health Programme “How are you?”
A working meeting was hosted by the Mykolaiv regional branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross. It was attended by representatives of the Mykolaiv Regional State Administration, the All-Ukrainian Mental Health Programme “How are you?” in the Mykolaiv region, and the Mykolaiv Regional Mental Health Centre.
The meeting aimed to develop a system of interaction within the framework of the programme’s implementation at the regional level.
Currently, the system of mental health and psychosocial support services in the region includes psychologists, psychotherapists, psychiatrists, clinical psychologists from specialised institutions, doctors trained under the World Health Organisation programme, as well as non-governmental organisations. Among NGOs, the Ukrainian Red Cross is recognised as an expert in this field. Therefore, such meetings are crucial for the development of this issue at both the community and national levels.
The All-Ukrainian Mental Health Programme “How are you?”, established at the initiative of Olena Zelenska, is being implemented in cooperation with the Coordination Centre of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, and with the support of the World Health Organization. The aim of the programme is to teach Ukrainians how to take care of their own mental health and to update the psychosocial support system to make the service accessible.
