The Kharkiv Regional Branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross Team Assists in Evacuating People with Limited Mobility from Settlements Near the Active Combat Zone

Recently, together with the National Police of Ukraine in the Kharkiv region, we managed to evacuate people with limited mobility, the elderly, and people with disabilities from the Kupiansk district.

A 98-year-old woman with a fractured hip was evacuated from the village of Glushkivka, located almost next to the combat zone, and taken to a safe location under the care of her relatives.

An elderly woman with a disability was evacuated from Kupiansk. She was the last resident of her house. After her only son died in the war, she was left under the care of volunteers and social workers. Due to the danger, it became extremely difficult for social services to provide care for her. Consequently, it was decided to evacuate her. The woman was transported to Kharkiv, where she received free housing, medical care, and food.

We continue to assist the most vulnerable.

We stand by those in need.
