A day of respect, care and connection: celebrating the International Day of Older Persons in Znamianka

On the International Day of Older Persons, members of the Active Ageing Club of the Kirovohrad regional branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross in Znamianka joined a celebration held in the town park.

The day was an opportunity for warm gatherings and meaningful conversations. Representatives of the local authorities and social services congratulated the club members and thanked them for their contributions to the community’s development.

Such events are an important part of the Active Ageing Clubs’ activities, giving older people an opportunity to make new friends and take part in a variety of activities.

Guests enjoyed a concert programme, pleasant surprises, lively conversation and an atmosphere of care and support. With the support of the Swiss Red Cross, the Ukrainian Red Cross prepared refreshments for the participants.

Active ageing at the Ukrainian Red Cross is about creating opportunities for people to feel supported at every age.
