Reboot programme specialists join meetings with veteran communities in three regions

With the support of the Ukrainian Red Cross’s Reboot programme, veterans, women veterans, and their family members are starting and developing their own businesses, acquiring new skills, and taking part in training courses.

To ensure that more people returning from military service are aware of these opportunities, programme specialists took part in a series of meetings with veteran communities in Kyiv, Kropyvnytskyi, and Shepetivka. Representatives of local authorities, employment services, and other civil society and humanitarian organisations also joined the discussions.

Personal meetings and direct dialogue help identify gaps in available support and better understand the barriers that prevent former service members from returning to the civilian labour market.

The needs and requests raised during these meetings will inform the development of new solutions and initiatives to support veterans in their professional and educational development.
