Working meeting at the Community Center in Shepetivka focuses on strengthening support for veterans
A working meeting was held at the Community Center of the Shepetivka city-district branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross, jointly organised with the municipal institution Veteran Space “VETERAN PRO”.
The meeting brought together Community Center specialists, representatives of the Ukrainian Red Cross, and veteran support specialists from territorial communities across the Shepetivka district. The aim was to strengthen cooperation between organisations and further develop a coordinated support system for veterans and their family members.
During the meeting, participants were introduced to the Ukrainian Red Cross’s key areas of work, including psychosocial support, social case management, and rehabilitation services. The activities of the Community Center were also presented, highlighting the social counselling, case management, and referral services available to help people access the support they need.
Representatives of VETERAN PRO also provided an overview of State programmes supporting veterans, available social benefits, and the procedures for obtaining veteran status and accessing relevant services. A practical session led by a military psychologist focused on effective communication with veterans and the principles of safe, supportive interaction.
Participants also discussed mechanisms to strengthen future cooperation and coordination between their teams to ensure that support for veterans and their families is more accessible and better coordinated.
The Ukrainian Red Cross continues to work alongside its partners to strengthen support for veterans.
