In June, the Ukrainian Red Cross provided more than UAH 60 million in cash assistance to people in nine frontline regions

The Ukrainian Red Cross continues to support people most affected by the war. The unified cash transfers (UCT) programme is being implemented across nine frontline regions of Ukraine to support people affected by shelling, those forced to evacuate, and vulnerable people living in frontline communities.

The programme helps people meet their most essential needs and cope with the consequences of the humanitarian crisis. Priority-based cash assistance is provided to evacuated people, households whose homes have been damaged or destroyed as a result of hostilities, and people from vulnerable groups, including older people, people with disabilities, large families, single parents or sole legal guardians, and other households in need of urgent support.

In June 2026, 5,174 people received cash assistance, totalling UAH 60,620,700.

The programme is implemented by the Ukrainian Red Cross in the Dnipro, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv, Odesa, Sumy, Kharkiv, Kherson and Chernihiv regions, with support from the U.S., the Norwegian Red Cross, the Danish Red Cross, and the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies.
