Even more care and support for older people in the Ternopil region

The Ukrainian Red Cross, together with partners, has signed a four-party memorandum to establish an Active Longevity Club in Kremenets. The space will be based in the Y. Slovatskyi Public Library. This is a joint initiative of the Ternopil regional and Kremenets district branches of the Ukrainian Red Cross, as well as the Kremenets City Council.

“Active Longevity Clubs are spaces for people aged 60+. Here, they can socialise, receive psychosocial support, take part in workshops, exercise sessions, and digital literacy classes,” said Oleksandra Bryhadyr, Head of the regional branch.

Participants will be able to:

  • make new friends and overcome loneliness
  • learn to use smartphones and computers
  • take part in physical exercise sessions
  • explore creativity through workshops
  • receive essential psychosocial support

We aim to ensure that older people remain socially active and feel supported, even in the most challenging times.

The Active Longevity Club in Kremenets will become the sixth such space in the Ternopil region. Similar clubs are already successfully operating in Ternopil, Lanivtsi, Kopychyntsi, Husiatyn, and Yuskivtsi.

We continue to care for those who need it most.
