Ukrainian Red Cross emergency response teams respond at sites affected by Russian attacks in Kyiv and Zaporizhzhia

In Kyiv, volunteers from the Ukrainian Red Cross emergency response team in the Kyiv region worked alongside emergency services at two locations in the city’s Obolonskyi district affected by the large-scale overnight attack. The team evacuated three injured people: two were transported to medical facilities, while one received assistance on site. Volunteers also supported SESU units during firefighting efforts, conducted door-to-door checks in the surrounding area, and provided psychological first aid to residents of damaged buildings.

According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SESU), the death toll from the large-scale Russian attack overnight on 15 June has risen to five. A further 34 people were injured, including two children.

In Zaporizhzhia, volunteers from the Ukrainian Red Cross emergency response team in the Zaporizhzhia region responded at the site of another attack. They provided first aid to one injured person and transported them to hospital. Psychological first aid was also provided to three people.

According to the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, two people were injured as a result of Russian drone attacks on Zaporizhzhia and nearby villages.
