For the past year, the Ukrainian Red Cross Community Center has been operating in Korop, providing a space for support, interaction, and new opportunities for the community
To mark the first anniversary of the Center’s work, a meeting was held with the participation of the Korop local branch team and the Chernihiv regional branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross, representatives of the National Committee, local authorities, as well as partners from the Austrian Red Cross and Finnish Red Cross.
During the event, the Center’s team presented the results of its first year of work, sharing experience, achievements, and plans for further development.
Over the course of its operation, the Community Center has become a vital hub of support for local residents. Here, people can access social consultations, psychosocial support, humanitarian assistance, a clothing bank, social hairdressing services, or borrow rehabilitation equipment, as well as take part in trainings, group meetings, and activities for different age groups.
Since its opening, the Community Center team in Korop has:
- provided 630 individual social consultations;
- organised 73 group activities.
These figures are more than statistics — they reflect the stories of people who have received essential support, attention, and assistance close to home.
The Community Center in Korop remains an open space for everyone — a place where support is more accessible and the community is stronger.
