Kharkiv: Ukrainian Red Cross teams responding at sites affected by recent attacks
Yesterday night and again this morning, Kharkiv came under renewed attacks. Volunteers from the emergency response teams of the Ukrainian Red Cross in the Kharkiv region are working at the sites affected by the strikes. They are inspecting damaged buildings and surrounding areas, and conducting door-to-door checks to identify people in need of assistance.
The injured have been provided with first aid and handed over to emergency medical services teams. Some were also transported to hospitals using Ukrainian Red Cross vehicles. In addition, volunteers have been providing psychological first aid to both adults and children.
Based on assessed needs, affected people are receiving humanitarian assistance, including OSB boards, transit hygiene kits, drinking water, and other essential items.
According to the Mayor of Kharkiv, in the morning Russian forces struck an administrative building in the Shevchenkivskyi district of Kharkiv, with no casualties reported. Over the previous day, UAVs attacked the Osnovianskyi, Kholodnohirskyi, and Shevchenkivskyi districts. At least nine people sustained injuries or acute stress reactions.
