In March, the REDpreneurUA programme team conducted a monitoring visit to participants in the third cohort to assess how their businesses have been developing following the programme and grant support
The third REDpreneurUA cohort focused on supporting social enterprises that are already operational and seeking to scale — entering new markets, finding partners, attracting investment, and implementing sustainable growth tools. The monitoring visit provided an opportunity to see how these approaches are applied in practice in the day-to-day operations of the entrepreneurs.
During the visit, the team met with businesses from a range of sectors:
- Uniqchild – a STEM school offering programming, robotics, and English for children;
- Food for You – a producer of ready-to-eat, long-shelf-life meals;
- Mandry in UA – a campervan rental service; One True Skateboards – a skateboard manufacturer;
- the children’s rehabilitation centre You Can (Ty Mozhesh); Pozhyva;
- Formotvorchi Toys; Itara – a craft producer of walnut-based products;
- an initiative promoting api-tourism with a wellness focus;
- and Pampushka – an online bakery based in Lviv.
Most of the businesses visited are already demonstrating growth: expanding production, testing new products, entering new markets, and forming partnerships. At the same time, they have significantly strengthened their social impact since participating in the programme — creating jobs, supporting vulnerable groups, and contributing to their local communities.
“During our monitoring visits, we saw how businesses in the third cohort are moving into a growth phase. This is not only about developing products or services, but also about the entrepreneurs’ ability to adapt, identify new opportunities, and build resilience, even in challenging conditions,” said Serhii Shestak, Lead Specialist in Micro and Small Business Development and Start-ups at the Ukrainian Red Cross.
The monitoring confirmed that participants are effectively using the grant support, knowledge, and mentorship provided, adapting to challenges, and confidently advancing towards sustainable business development.
The REDpreneurUA programme is implemented by the Ukrainian Red Cross in partnership with the Austrian Red Cross, supported by the NACHBAR IN NOT Foundation and with the participation of the Spanish Red Cross.
