REDpreneurUA: Turning Ideas into Community Support
In the Sumy region, ideas are being translated into action, and partnerships are becoming tangible support for people. Through the REDpreneurUA programme, joint efforts are already being turned into practical solutions that help communities cope with the impacts of the war and support recovery.
- In Konotop, the HumanFit project is being actively developed — an initiative focused on creating adaptive clothing for people with disabilities. This goes beyond comfort or functionality. It is about enabling individuals to dress themselves independently, regain control over their daily lives, and rebuild their self-confidence. At a time when more than 2.7 million people in Ukraine face barriers in their everyday lives, such solutions are making a meaningful difference. At the same time, the project is creating employment opportunities and strengthening the local economy through social entrepreneurship.
- In Shostka, partners were introduced to the CARING Massage School project — a space where people are taught simple yet essential caregiving skills. Here, individuals who care for their loved ones can learn massage techniques that help relieve tension and support both physical and emotional well-being. This is more than training; it contributes to building a culture of mutual support, which is critically important for the recovery of communities.
REDpreneurUA, implemented in cooperation with the French Red Cross, is delivering tangible improvements in people’s lives. The projects already underway are restoring dignity, creating new opportunities, and laying the foundations for a more resilient future. This is support that makes a difference not only today, but also in the long term.
