The Ukrainian Red Cross has delivered 34 generators to support Points of Invincibility (Resilience Centres) in Kharkiv

The Kharkiv City Council has received 34 generators from the European Union and the Ukrainian Red Cross. The generators will be distributed to the relevant facilities in the coming days and put into operation shortly.

Amid ongoing power outages, the generators will ensure the uninterrupted operation of Points of Invincibility and enable the provision of essential assistance to residents of the city. The delivery was facilitated by the Ukrainian Red Cross to ensure the sustainable functioning of these facilities.

This support is particularly timely, as following attacks on critical infrastructure, residents of Kharkiv are increasingly turning to Points of Invincibility in search of warmth, electricity and essential services.

The generators form part of large-scale international support provided to the Ukrainian Red Cross by the European Union. In total, 447 generators are being delivered to Ukraine from the EU’s strategic reserves (#rescEU) under the EU Civil Protection Mechanism. They are intended to support communities most affected by attacks on energy infrastructure.
