Respira Salt Therapy Room – Health and Psycho-Emotional Support for the Community in Novovolynsk

In Novovolynsk, the Respira salt therapy room has opened — a space for halotherapy sessions designed to improve the physical and emotional well-being of community members. The initiative was implemented by the Novovolynsk city branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross as part of the second component of the REDpreneurUA Programme, which focuses on developing social entrepreneurship within Ukrainian Red Cross branches.

The salt therapy room is located in Outpatient Clinic No. 4, part of the city’s General Practice, and will provide halotherapy services to local residents. Sessions are available to anyone in need of health and wellbeing support.

The project aims to create accessible health services for people with ENT and respiratory conditions, joint inflammation, cardiovascular issues, skin problems, allergies, frequent respiratory infections, and nicotine dependence. The salt therapy room will also support individuals experiencing chronic stress, panic attacks, insomnia, and psycho-emotional exhaustion — common consequences of living in a war-affected environment.

Halotherapy is an effective natural method for prevention and wellness. The Respira salt therapy room is designed not only to improve visitors’ well-being but also to enhance overall quality of life, foster positive change within the community, and support those who need it most.

The opening of the salt therapy room was made possible through participation in the REDpreneurUA Programme, implemented by the Ukrainian Red Cross in partnership with the Austrian Red Cross, with support from the NACHBAR IN NOT Foundation (Austria) and the Canadian Red Cross.
