Success Story: Dutch Waffle Bakery

Lesia is a participant and winner of the first cohort of the REDpreneurUA programme, and the founder of Kartata Waffle — a Dutch waffle bakery with a meaningful social mission. Her business employs mothers of children with disabilities.

Lesia is also the mother of a child with a disability, so she understands first-hand how challenging it can be to find a job with a flexible schedule — one that allows her to earn a living while caring for her family.

The REDpreneurUA programme helped Lesia turn her idea into a sustainable social enterprise — combining her love of waffles with her commitment to supporting women who need flexible and inclusive working conditions.
