This week, the Ukrainian Red Cross Physical and Mental Rehabilitation Team held a workshop in Lviv
Over three days, experts from six regions came together to discuss key challenges and share their experiences in implementing community-based rehabilitation.
During the event, participants:
- presented statistics on achievements in the field and outlined work priorities for the coming years;
- сollaborated in group sessions on internal and external cooperation;
- discussed standard operating procedures (SOPs);
- held working sessions for physiotherapists and physiotherapy assistants;
- took part in information sessions on communication, particularly with veterans;
- addressed issues related to working with veterans and their involvement in programmes.
The event was organised with the support of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, the German Red Cross, the Japanese Red Cross Society, and the Government of Japan.
The workshop provided a dynamic platform for sharing experiences and practical solutions, which will serve as a foundation for the next steps in developing physical and mental rehabilitation within the Ukrainian Red Cross.
