More than 100 visits made by mobile rehabilitation units in the Volyn region in one month

In May, the mobile rehabilitation units (MRUs) of the Volyn regional branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross carried out 109 visits to provide rehabilitation services to beneficiaries in their own homes. The teams reached 16 villages across the Lutsk district.

Additionally, 16 volunteers — students specialising in Therapy and Rehabilitation — are now participating in the MRU visits across the region. Before joining, they received thorough training, enabling them to effectively support the team of specialists during beneficiary visits.

The mobile rehabilitation units began operating in the region at the end of February 2024. Since then, specialists have been delivering rehabilitation services to those unable to travel to specialised centres on their own.

The physical and mental rehabilitation programme in the Volyn region is carried out with the support of the German Red Cross.
