Support for Those Who Need It Most: Financial Aid from the Ukrainian Red Cross
During the winter, the Ukrainian Red Cross provided vital financial assistance to those who needed it most — elderly individuals, large families, and people with disabilities. Thanks to this support, families were able to manage their immediate expenses and better cope with the challenges of the cold season.
“We don’t have enough money at all. We receive UAH 2,100 per child, and my husband, who retired from the military, is now on the state employment register, awaiting a job placement,” says Polina, a mother from a large family in the village of Rivne in the Mykolaiv region. “We received UAH 21,000 in financial assistance from the Ukrainian Red Cross, which we used for utilities and food. I want to say a big thank you to the Ukrainian Red Cross for standing by those in need and supporting families like ours.”
