The participants of the second cohort of REDpreneurUA have presented 24 unique business ideas that will soon make a tangible impact on their communities
On 2 May, the second cohort of REDpreneurUA completed the final stage – pitching their business plans. Through intensive training in partnership with the Ukrainian Future business incubator, the participants transformed their ideas into viable business projects that will soon drive change, create new jobs, and benefit society.
These are not just start-ups; they represent real stories of recovery, resilience, and social responsibility. The projects include services for families with children, initiatives supporting veterans, facilities offering employment opportunities for people with disabilities, educational spaces, farms, coffee shops, workshops, and technology solutions. Though these businesses come from different parts of Ukraine, they share one common goal: to build a better future.
The final pitch was attended by representatives from the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine, who witnessed how business ideas can be transformed into sustainable enterprises with a social impact. This interest from government institutions further confirms the relevance and importance of the REDpreneurUA programme.
Among the projects that will receive funding, ranging from €5,000 to €15,000, are a mobile fire extinguisher refilling service, welding services, the inclusive Sunshine Milk Workshop, ART LAND studio for contemporary interior paintings, SHPATIK liquid wallpaper and furniture production, a massage and body contouring studio, and educational initiatives such as a drone school and a digital programme for precision agriculture. Other finalists include a baby swimming pool, the Smiley:) children’s development centre, personalised storybooks, soft educational books made of felt, genealogical research services, rose jam production, the sale of garden and indoor plants, and the ApiHata health centre.
These business ideas hold both economic and social value, focusing on community orientation, inclusion, support for veterans, employment opportunities for IDPs (internally displaced persons), and the development of local initiatives.
The REDpreneurUA programme is implemented by the Ukrainian Red Cross in partnership with the Austrian Red Cross and is supported by the Neighbour in Need Foundation (Austria). Its goal is to foster entrepreneurship among vulnerable groups.
Stay tuned for updates and don’t miss the call for applications for the 4th cohort of the REDpreneurUA Programme!
