The Ukrainian Red Cross assists at the scene of the attack in Zaporizhzhia

The Ukrainian Red Cross emergency response team in the Zaporizhzhia region is providing vital assistance to the victims of the recent attack on the city, alongside other rescue services. Volunteers provide first aid and psychological first aid. Together with first responders, they evacuate the injured from their homes and transport them to medical facilities in the city.

As of now, according to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, 24 people, including four children, have been reported injured in the Russian attack on Zaporizhzhia. One person was killed. The strike partially destroyed several nine-storey residential buildings, an educational facility, and cars. Evacuations from the damaged buildings are ongoing.
Emergency and rescue operations continue.
