The Ukrainian Red Cross is the official partner of the state in civil protection

The updated Regulation on the Unified National Civil Protection System now clearly establishes the possibility of involving the Ukrainian Red Cross in disaster prevention and response, either on a voluntary or contractual basis. The document also outlines the procedure for exchanging information about threats or emergencies and defines mechanisms for coordinating actions to address them.

This is an important step towards deeper integration of the Ukrainian Red Cross into the national response system and strengthening cooperation with state authorities. It is not only a sign of trust but also a recognition of the real ability of the Ukrainian Red Cross to act as an effective partner of the state.

We continue to work on enhancing our role in the civil protection system to ensure the safety of everyone.

It is also worth noting that the Ukrainian Red Cross is the first, and so far the only, humanitarian organisation officially included in the Unified National Civil Protection System.
