In Lozova, Kharkiv region, the Ukrainian Red Cross held a training course on Home-Based Care
This was the second event in a blended format, where specialists learned how to support their beneficiaries even more effectively. Participants learned not only how to properly care for people but also how to offer support, provide a sense of security, and give reassurance to those who need it most. The social helpers gained both knowledge and practical skills that will help them assess a person’s general health, ensure comfort in the home, and provide social and emotional support.
The training was conducted by instructors and moderators from teams in the Kirovohrad, Zhytomyr, Ternopil, and Kharkiv regions. The atmosphere was open, supportive, and full of empathy. After all, care is not only about physical assistance, but also about emotional support. Thanks to such training sessions, people can receive not only physical assistance but also the reassurance that they are not alone in their difficulties.
