The attack on Zaporizhzhia city centre: The Ukrainian Red Cross provided assistance to the victims
Today, Russian forces attacked the centre of Zaporizhzhia. According to the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, 10 people sustained injuries of varying severity as a result of the attack. An administrative building at an industrial facility was partially destroyed, while residential buildings and private cars were damaged.
The Ukrainian Red Cross emergency response team in the Zaporizhzhia region was deployed to the site. Volunteers provided first aid to two victims on the spot and then handed them over to paramedics. They also offered psychological first aid to those affected and their families.
The team from the Zaporizhzhia regional branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross delivered humanitarian aid to families whose homes were damaged in the attack. The affected individuals received sleeping sets, pillows, air mattresses, power banks, flashlights, hygiene kits, and food parcels. “We understand the importance of support during such a difficult time, which is why we stand by those in need,” the volunteers stated on their social media page.
