The call for applications for the second cohort of the Ukrainian Red Cross REDpreneurUA programme has been launched
REDpreneurUA is a programme initiated by the Austrian Red Cross to develop business skills and support entrepreneurs who aim to make a positive impact. In Ukraine, it offers entrepreneurs a unique opportunity not only to start their own businesses but also to contribute to the country’s economic recovery.
The second intake of candidates will begin on 2 December 2024, and they will receive free training in all aspects of business—from the initial idea to its successful implementation. This is an opportunity to gain valuable knowledge and tools for creating a sustainable and socially responsible business and an effective means of contributing to the country’s recovery and prosperity.
Programme Eligibility Requirements:
The programme is open to economically active citizens of Ukraine aged 18 to 59 who do not currently own a business but are willing to launch a socially oriented start-up aimed at rebuilding Ukraine.
All participants must meet the vulnerability criteria:

- Internally displaced persons (IDPs) with registration (from 24 February 2022).
- Persons with disabilities.
- Large families raising three or more minor children (under 18).
- Single parents (in accordance with Article 135 of the Family Code of Ukraine).
- Guardians of an incapacitated person.
- War veterans/combatants.
- Long-term socially vulnerable unemployed persons (both registered and unregistered with the Employment Centre).
The REDpreneurUA programme is distinguished by its innovative approach to training, combining theory with practice in cooperation with leading business incubators and schools. Thanks to the support of these partners, participants will gain access to best business practices and create innovative solutions for the country’s recovery.
The second cohort will be held in partnership with the Ukrainian Future Business Incubator
The Ukrainian Future Business Incubator is a full-cycle business and innovation support hub that offers a wide range of consulting services and physical infrastructure to assist startups at various stages of project development. The main goal of the Ukrainian Future Business Incubator is to foster and scale the innovative activities of young entrepreneurs, helping them transform their business ideas into financially self-sustaining business models. Since April 2021, the Business Incubator has been the sole full member of the International Association of Science Parks and Areas of Innovation (IASP) in Ukraine.
The REDpreneurUA programme is not only about training but also about contributing to Ukraine’s economic recovery by supporting entrepreneurship and developing business initiatives among vulnerable groups.
