Assistance to Those Affected by the Strike on the City Centre of Kharkiv
Today, Russian troops launched a missile strike on the centre of Kharkiv.
The Ukrainian Red Cross emergency response team in the Kharkiv region was promptly deployed to the strike site. The volunteers searched the surrounding areas and apartments in the damaged building to identify victims. They provided first aid to three injured individuals and transferred them to medical personnel. Psychological first aid was also offered to the victims.
Volunteers from both the emergency response team and the psychosocial support team are currently working at the scene. The needs of the population are being assessed, and humanitarian aid is being prepared to provide the victims with essential supplies.
According to the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, 23 people were injured in the attack.
