The Ukrainian Red Cross continues to provide psychosocial counselling to residents of Kharkiv

In Kharkiv, psychosocial counselling is ongoing to support individuals facing difficult life situations. These free sessions are designed to help restore emotional balance, as well as teach skills for managing stress and negative thoughts.

One series of individual sessions (5-6 meetings) helps participants to:

  • cope with anxiety, fear, sadness, or other emotions;
  • resolve conflicts in relationships;
  • explore new opportunities for work and adapt to change;
  • remain calm and confident in difficult situations.

Psychosocial support counsellors are continuously enhancing their skills to provide the most effective assistance to people. In November, specialists from the Kharkiv region participated in a training course aimed at improving their professional development.

Given the context of war and emerging challenges, providing psychosocial counselling is crucial in supporting individuals facing difficult situations.
