The first Ukrainian Red Cross workshop on physical and mental rehabilitation was held in Kyiv

From 5 to 7 November, a workshop on physical and mental rehabilitation was held in Kyiv. The workshop brought together Ukrainian Red Cross specialists from across the country to share experiences and discuss key issues in this field. Attendees included specialists from mobile rehabilitation units, heads of relevant departments of the National Committee of the Ukrainian Red Cross, project coordinators, as well as accountants, finance professionals, and supply chain managers.

Over the course of three days, participants had the opportunity not only to learn about the rehabilitation sector’s work in different regions but also to engage in group presentations, practical sessions, and interactive training. In addition, to enhance their skills in interacting with beneficiaries, they applied their theoretical knowledge through role-playing exercises and tasks.

Specifically, practical sessions on cardiac rehabilitation for physical therapists and their assistants were led by delegates from the Japanese Red Cross Society, Nakashima Hisamoto and Hirano Kyoko, in collaboration with the Technical Sector of the Ukrainian Red Cross National Committee.

This workshop has become an important platform for exchanging ideas, exploring new ways of cooperation, and improving teamwork. The collaboration of specialists from different fields not only broadened professional horizons but also strengthened internal communication, leading to more effective outcomes in rehabilitation projects.

We sincerely thank everyone who participated and helped make this workshop memorable! Let’s continue moving forward together!
