The evacuation of civilians in the Donetsk region continues

Recently, volunteers from the Myrnohrad branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross emergency response team evacuated six people, including a child. The volunteers work in coordination with local authorities and the police. In September alone, they assisted over 100 local residents in evacuating to safer locations.

Since 24 February 2022, the Ukrainian Red Cross emergency response teams, in coordination with local authorities, have been evacuating individuals from dangerous regions of Ukraine. In the initial months of the war, these teams accompanied evacuation convoys, organised independent evacuations, and provided essential assistance to evacuees. Today, the Ukrainian Red Cross emergency response teams transport individuals with limited mobility and seriously ill patients from areas under constant shelling to safer locations. They also facilitate transport for those with limited mobility between medical facilities and their homes.
