Kharkiv, Sumy, Zaporizhzhya, Kyiv Region, Kryvyi Rih: Emergency Response Teams Mobilise to Mitigate the Consequences of a Massive Attack
Another difficult morning for Ukrainians. During the night and into the morning, Russian troops launched attacks on Kharkiv, Sumy, Zaporizhzhia, the Kyiv region, and Kryvyi Rih using various types of weapons.
- Kharkiv: The city faced aerial bombardment overnight. According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, 12 people were injured, and 13 residential buildings, 14 non-residential buildings, as well as cars and petrol stations, were damaged.
- Kyiv Region: In the village of Hlevakha, located in the Fastiv district, debris from an impact partially destroyed the roof structure of a five-storey building.
- Kryvyi Rih: According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, four people were injured in a rocket attack on the city. Damage was reported to a hotel, five multi-storey buildings, a cultural facility, a bank, several shops, and cars. Volunteers from the Kryvyi Rih branch of the Dnipro regional emergency response team of the Ukrainian Red Cross were on-site, providing assistance to two victims.
- Zaporizhzhia: The head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration reported seven victims. The blast wave damaged a kindergarten, dormitories, and residential buildings, both one-storey and multi-storey.
- Sumy: A massive drone strike occurred around 10 a.m. According to the Sumy Regional Military Administration, both the residential sector and critical infrastructure facilities were damaged.
Volunteers from the Ukrainian Red Cross emergency response teams are currently on the ground assisting with the situation. More details to follow.
