In Kherson, the Ukrainian Red Cross has repaired a shelter within one of the city’s hospitals

Given the constant shelling, it is crucial for people to have safe places to protect them from blast waves and shrapnel injuries, particularly within medical facilities. The Ukrainian Red Cross is assisting hospitals in creating or renovating safe shelters to ensure that medical care can continue during air raids. One such shelter has already been renovated in a medical facility in Kherson, equipped with everything necessary to comfortably accommodate people during air raids. The repairs are being carried out by the Kherson regional branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross with support from the Swiss Red Cross.

Additionally, repairs are currently underway to restore other hospitals in the city. We remain committed to supporting healthcare facilities.
