Work of mobile rehabilitation units in the Ivano-Frankivsk region.
Continuous rehabilitation is crucial for restoring physical health after injuries or serious illnesses. However, this process can be challenging due to the inability of some individuals to stay in rehabilitation centres for extended periods or the distance of their residences from large cities.
To address this, the Ukrainian Red Cross, with the support of its partners, has established mobile rehabilitation units. Each unit includes a physical therapist, an assistant, and a driver and is equipped to reach even the most remote communities.
The primary aim of these on-site rehabilitation activities is to assist those who need rehabilitation but cannot access centres themselves. Additionally, the units work to reduce the stigma associated with disabilities, helping individuals believe in their own strength and supporting their physical and mental healing.
