2400 km to evacuate a family from the Donetsk region

The Ukrainian Red Cross emergency response teams operate as a cohesive unit, working together seamlessly. When the need arises to evacuate a family from the Donetsk region to Bukovyna, multiple teams from different regions collaborate to ensure the safe relocation of people.

Recently, it took two and a half days and nearly 2,400 km to complete an evacuation. The emergency response team of the Chernivtsi regional branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross, in coordination with their colleagues from the Donetsk region, successfully transported a couple from the Kramatorsk district of the Donetsk region to the Ivano-Frankivsk region and finally to Bukovyna.
