Events dedicated to the Day of Knowledge were held in many cities across the country
In a time when missiles, rather than planes, are flying over Ukraine, maintaining the mental health of young citizens is crucial. It is challenging for them to understand why school lessons might take place in a shelter or online from home. The range of emotions and daily stress can negatively impact their mental health. Therefore, creating meetings or events where children can feel safe, share their experiences, and connect with like-minded individuals is essential.
To address this, Ukrainian Red Cross teams organised themed holidays in many cities and small towns to bring some joy, excitement, and inspiration to schoolchildren at the beginning of the school year. They conducted workshops on first aid, mine detection and safe handling, and engaged in discussions about mental health through creative activities. Additionally, Ukrainian Red Cross teams participated in the Mental Health Workshop events held as part of the All-Ukrainian Mental Health Programme “How Are You?”.
