The REDpreneur.UA programme has been launched to provide new opportunities for business recovery and development in Ukraine

REDpreneur.UA is an innovative two-year programme designed to improve the livelihoods of people affected by the war across the country by supporting business development. As a result, approximately 70 business projects will receive funding ranging from €5,000 to €15,000, along with long-term mentoring support. The initiative is being implemented by the Ukrainian Red Cross with the support of the Austrian Red Cross. This programme, part of the international REDpreneur franchise, aims to restore the country’s economic potential by supporting small and micro businesses. 

Programme Objectives: 

Fostering Entrepreneurship Among Vulnerable Populations: The programme aims to create entrepreneurial opportunities for women, internally displaced persons, veterans, people with disabilities, and other socially vulnerable groups. 

Promoting Economic Recovery and Social Integration: The programme seeks to revitalise economic activity in affected regions of Ukraine by stimulating the development of micro and small enterprises. This effort will help restore jobs and provide opportunities for those displaced by the war. 

Enhancing Economic Self-Sufficiency: Entrepreneurs participating in the project will gain essential knowledge and skills to manage a business successfully. They will also receive material resources and support to create a favourable environment for their enterprise’s growth. 

Strengthening Human Capital Through Education and Training: The programme includes various educational activities, training sessions, and coaching to help participants develop their management and entrepreneurial skills. 

In total, the project will consist of four sessions, during which 100 beneficiaries will receive free training on starting a business. The training will be delivered in collaboration with local business incubators and business schools, covering both theoretical and practical aspects, including: 

• Inspiration sessions to motivate participants towards new achievements. 
• An online academy providing access to up-to-date educational materials and courses. 
• Masterclasses where participants can apply their knowledge in practice. 
• Networking opportunities to facilitate the establishment of important business relationships and the search for partners. 

At the end of the programme, participants will present their business plans, financial models, and short presentations to potential investors.
