In August, thematic lessons were held for over 40 children at the PoCHATok Club in Sumy
The Sumy city branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross conducted these classes in local libraries, targeting children of internally displaced persons, those from single-parent, large, and low-income families, as well as those affected by hostilities and armed conflicts. The sessions are designed to support children, providing a safe space for them to express their feelings and receive emotional support. Incorporating elements of creativity, these classes help children open up and share their experiences.
The lessons also aim to develop children’s skills and social confidence, assist them in coping with stress, improve concentration, and foster new friendships.
