SAF (Safer Awareness Framework) Session Held for Ukrainian Red Cross Teams in Poltava
At a time when volunteers and staff are putting their lives on the line in humanitarian missions, it is important to keep them safe.
SAF is a set of actions and measures that can be taken to facilitate access to people and communities.
The goal of SAF is to ensure that all staff and volunteers are familiar with a common safety culture that will help reduce risks during humanitarian operations and daily activities in today’s realities.
The participants worked on each element of the concept with the support of the facilitators. The session facilitators paid special attention to the safety of volunteers and staff during humanitarian missions. Participants worked on informing and preparing each team member for risky situations to reduce possible threats.
The session was held as part of the BraVo programme.
