Raising awareness of breast cancer in Chernivtsi region

As part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a health promotion and disease prevention adviser from the Chernivtsi regional branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross conducted an information and practical session for female staff at a preschool.

During the session, participants learned about the main risk factors for breast cancer, the importance of regularly monitoring their health and the need to undergo preventive screening based on their age and individual recommendations from a doctor.

They also learned about signs to look out for, the importance of early detection, the need to seek medical advice promptly and the role of a healthy lifestyle.

Don’t put off looking after your health. Timely screening can make a crucial difference.
