The Ukrainian Red Cross responds at the site of an attack on Zaporizhzhia
The Ukrainian Red Cross emergency response team in the Zaporizhzhia region worked alongside other emergency services at the site of another attack on Zaporizhzhia. Volunteers searched the area for injured people and supported rescue operations so that they could provide prompt assistance to those affected if needed. They also provided first aid.
According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, Russian forces attacked one of the districts of Zaporizhzhia with a UAV. A 54-year-old woman was injured and received first aid. A fire also broke out in warehouse premises at one of the local enterprises. Emergency responders extinguished the fire over an area of 5,000 square metres. Due to repeated attacks, firefighting operations had to be suspended and responders had to take shelter.
