The “The Art of Being Yourself” exhibition has opened at the Ukrainian Red Cross Community Center in Kherson

The exhibition features 63 artworks by amateur women artists, created between 2023 and 2026 at the “SVOIE” Education and Training Center and the Ukrainian Red Cross Community Center in Kherson.

The story behind these artworks began after the liberation of the right-bank part of the Kherson region. In a city that continues to live under constant shelling, safe spaces have begun to be created in basements. These spaces provided opportunities to resume creative, social, educational, and artistic activities.

Kherson residents with no previous experience in painting took part in workshops, learned different techniques, and created their own artworks.

Among the artists are Ukrainian Red Cross staff members and volunteers. For them, these creative sessions became an opportunity to restore their personal resources, relieve emotional stress, and spend time together in a supportive and friendly environment.

Today, all 63 artworks are brought together in one exhibition at the Ukrainian Red Cross Community Center in Kherson — a space where people can receive support, connect with others, and take part in various activities even during the war.
