Today, the Ukrainian Red Cross emergency response team in the Kharkiv region responded to the aftermath of another attack on Kharkiv.
Working alongside other emergency services, volunteers conducted door-to-door visits to damaged residential buildings and surrounding areas, provided first aid to those affected, and transferred injured people to emergency medical service crews. The team also provided psychological first aid to people experiencing acute stress reactions.
The Ukrainian Red Cross will also distribute humanitarian assistance to those affected. In particular, people will receive construction materials for temporary emergency repairs to damaged homes, hygiene kits for children and adults, drinking water, and other essential relief items.
According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, a 15-year-old boy was killed and 29 people were injured, including three children, as a result of the large-scale Russian air strike on Kharkiv.
