The Ukrainian Red Cross marked its 108th anniversary with a charity run in support of veterans
On 17 April, on the eve of its 108th anniversary, the Ukrainian Red Cross held a charity run at the Expocentre of Ukraine (VDNH) in Kyiv to support veterans and their families.
The symbolic distance of 1.8 km served as a gesture of gratitude and a reminder of our shared responsibility to those who defended Ukraine. More than 150 staff members, volunteers and partners took part in the run.
The funds raised will be directed towards veteran rehabilitation programmes, the provision of adaptive clothing and tableware, as well as financial support to help veterans reintegrate into civilian life.
In addition to the run, a series of interactive workshops were held at the venue. Participants had the opportunity to learn first aid, gain basic psychosocial support skills, and find out more about mine risk awareness.
The event brought together partners and friends of the Ukrainian Red Cross around a shared goal — supporting veterans.
We thank everyone who took part. Together, we are stronger.
