500 generators for 200 communities across the country: supporting Ukraine through blackouts

The Ukrainian Red Cross has received nearly 500 generators of various capacities from the European Union’s strategic reserves (#rescEU) under the EU Civil Protection Mechanism.

They will be distributed to more than 200 communities across Ukraine — prioritising areas most affected by large-scale attacks on energy infrastructure. Support will be provided to facilities hosting elderly people, children, and other vulnerable groups.

The video shows where the generators have already been installed and highlights other forms of assistance provided by the Ukrainian Red Cross.
