The Ukrainian Red Cross evacuated residents of a psychoneurological care facility in the Chernihiv region
Due to the worsening security situation and the increased intensity of shelling in border areas, the Chernihiv Regional Military Administration decided to evacuate residents of residential care facilities for older people and people with psychosocial and neurological disabilities located in border communities.
Recently, volunteers from the Ukrainian Red Cross emergency response team in the Chernihiv region, together with partners, evacuated 36 residents of the Horodnia psychoneurological care facility to a safer location. Vehicles from the mobile health units of the Chernihiv regional branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross were also deployed, enabling the safe and timely transportation of people.
The evacuees were transferred to specialised facilities, where they will be provided with safe and dignified living conditions, appropriate care and medical support.
We continue to work to help residents of frontline and border areas reach safer locations.
We stand by those in need!
