The Ukrainian Red Cross has deployed mobile warming centres to support Kyiv residents
Volunteers from the Ukrainian Red Cross emergency response team, working alongside emergency responders from the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, continue to support residents of Kyiv after damage to large parts of the energy infrastructure left many homes without electricity and heating.
Mobile warming centres have been set up to provide people with a safe place to keep warm, recharge mobile phones and access essential support until the energy system is fully restored. Where needed, people can also receive psychological first aid.
Throughout the day, Ukrainian Red Cross volunteers distribute assistance and provide services at the mobile warming centres deployed earlier. They have also taken part in duty shifts at Resilience Centres established by the State Emergency Service.
In total, 20 Ukrainian Red Cross volunteers were involved in the response.
We stand by those in need.
