In Kyiv, warming centres continue to operate, allowing people to keep warm during freezing weather and receive essential support

Residents of the capital who, following a massive attack, have been left without heating, electricity and water are seeking assistance at warming centres every day amid frost and low temperatures. To date, more than 800 people have already sought support at the Ukrainian Red Cross mobile warming centre. Our teams also continue to be on duty at Points of

Invincibility (Resilience Centres) together with the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

The Ukrainian Red Cross is currently actively involved in the deployment and operation of these centres. Together with emergency responders, law enforcement officers, volunteers from the Salvation Army and Dobrobat, people can warm up, have hot drinks and meals, recharge mobile devices and, if needed, receive psychological first aid.

Overall, according to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, 3,500 Kyiv residents sought assistance at warming centres over the weekend alone.

We will continue to provide support for as long as it is needed.

We thank donors, partners in the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, and the U.S. Department of State for their support, provision of hot meals, and solidarity with Ukraine. Together, we are helping those who need it most.
