Over 1,400 rehabilitation sessions conducted by Ukrainian Red Cross mobile rehabilitation units in Volyn in 2025

Throughout 2025, specialists in physical rehabilitation and social adaptation from the Ukrainian Red Cross in the Volyn region provided continuous support to people in need of rehabilitation services.

In total, 1,412 rehabilitation sessions were delivered, benefiting 150 individuals. The mobile rehabilitation units focused on restoring lost functional abilities and improving daily life for people with diverse needs.

At the same time, significant attention was given to providing essential assistive devices. Over the year, 55 rehabilitation aids were distributed to people for whom these tools are vital for mobility and independence.

Another key area of work was raising awareness and developing practical skills in evidence-based rehabilitation. During the year 22 training sessions were held, attended by 392 participants; and 61 information sessions were conducted, reaching 1,559 people.

Alongside service delivery, the rehabilitation infrastructure in the region was expanded. With the support of the Ukrainian Red Cross, four rehabilitation spaces were opened, providing accessible locations for comprehensive recovery and professional assistance.

The implementation of physical rehabilitation and social adaptation programme in the Volyn region strengthens community capacities, supports the recovery process, and helps people return to socially active lives.
