The 2nd Humanitarian Forum of the Ukrainian Red Cross in the Eastern Region recently took place in Dnipro. Participants included representatives from five of our regional branches, local authorities, volunteer missions, the police, the State Emergency Service, and other experts involved in safety and evacuation.
Key topics of the forum included:
- Evacuation of civilians
- Volunteer safety
- Coordination of efforts between government agencies, local authorities, international partners, and civil society organisations
“All our efforts are focused on preserving the capacity we built in 2025 so that we can continue our successful work next year,” emphasised Yevhen Poliarush, Head of the Eastern Interregional Office of the Ukrainian Red Cross.
The eastern region of Ukraine continues to face one of the most challenging situations in the country. By expanding our programmes and strengthening partnerships, we are doing even more for those who need help now.
